Thunderbolts to host open tryout

LAKELAND, Fla. â The Lakeland Thunderbolts of the National Indoor Football League are conducting an open try-out for the 2005 NIFL season.
Open try-outs for the 2005 season will be held in Wellington, Florida at Athletes Advantage on Saturday December 4th. The try-out fee, payable by cash or money order, is $40 if you register and pay by November 30th, or $50 if you register after that date. All interested players must be at least 18 years old, and have completed high school eligibility.
Pre-register by calling Try-out Coordinator, Sean Benevides at (561) 792- 1551 or download the registration form at www.athletesadvantageusa.com and return with payment by Nov. 30. For more information about the try-outs, you can also contact the Thunderbolts office at (863)-687-8110.
Check-in for all positions will begin at 8 am on December 4th. Drills and testing will begin no later than 9 am and will last until approximately 1pm. Each participant will receive a try-out t-shirt at registration.
Athletes Advantage training facility is located minutes from the Florida Turnpike in Palm Beach County at 11120 South Crown Way, Wellington, Florida.
Players will be evaluated in the 40-yard dash, 10 yard dash, pro agility shuttle, vertical jump, bench press, height and weight as well as various individual drills and one-on-one drills. Players need to bring workout clothes and tennis shoes or other appropriate turf shoes. No metal cleats are permitted. Players will also be asked to sign an injury/medical care waiver form before they are allowed to try out.
Players with video footage are encouraged bring copies or mail to the Lakeland Thunderbolts office at 1316 George Jenkins Blvd., Lakeland, Florida 33815. All films and statistics will be forwarded to the NIFL- Florida expansion office for review and evaluation by owners and coaches.
