ThunderBolts hire new head coach

LAKELAND-The Lakeland ThunderBolts of the National Indoor Football League has named Teddrick Keaton as the teams new Head Coach and Director of Football Operations.
Coach Keaton was most recently Defensive Coordinator of the Odessa Roughnecks of the NIFL. During his season and a half with Odessa the team was 20-2, advanced to the playoffs both seasons, made it to the conference championship, and was the league leader in all defensive categories.
"With Coach Keaton the Lakeland ThunderBolts have acquired a proven winner with extensive knowledge and success in professional indoor football," said ThunderBolts General Manager Larry Kiernan. "His leadership, football expertise, recruiting ability, and character will make us a winner both on the field and in the community."
"To be able to be Head Coach of this team and to join this organization is a tremendous honor," stated Coach Keaton. "I promise that we will have tremendous athletes and great players that are also quality individuals." "Making the playoffs is not enough. I expect nothing less than to give to our area a League Championship."
Prior to his stint in Texas, Keaton was first assistant head coach and Director of Football Operations at Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Coach Keaton will be living in Lakeland year around and will be joined by his wife Tracy and daughters Taylor and Tarhea.
