
Thunderbolts GM Steps Down

Lakeland ThunderBolts News Release
The Lakeland Thunderbolts announced Al Green, General Manager has stepped down to pursue other business opportunities. Al will remain with the team as a consultant and continue to serve as their athletic trainer. Mr. Bennie King, Director of Game Day Operations was appointed the new General Manager. Prior to joining the Thunderbolts Mr. King worked in game day operations with the NBA Charlotte Bobcats.
"I know Bennie will do an excellent job as General Manager. We talk daily and see each other at practice. The transition will be a smooth one" Green said. "My goal is to continue to provide a first rate indoor football experience for the fans. Our team is vying for the championship with some of our toughest competition coming to Lakeland in the next several weeks". "The Thunderbolt experience is an awesome one that once the fans come to a game they will be counting down till the next one" King said.
Lakeland takes on the Carolina Speed this Saturday at 7:00 PM. The Speed is the hottest team in the league right now having just up-set the league leading and previously unbeaten Mississippi Mudcats.
