ThunderBolts Announce First Group of Players for the 2006 Season

LAKELAND-Head Coach Teddy Keaton of the Lakeland ThunderBolts, of the National Indoor Football League (NIFL), is pleased to announce the signing of the first group of players for the 2006 season. The ThunderBolts have signed two new and four returning players to their roster.

Kenny Perry (Wide Receiver, 6'2", 200 lbs), will start his professional career in the NIFL with the Lakeland ThunderBolts. Perry is currently finishing up his college career at North Carolina A&T where he letter all four years. In his collegiate career, Perry had 50 receptions and 7 Touchdowns for over 800 yards.

Perry Tisdale (Running Back, 5'9", 240lbs), joins the Lakeland ThunderBolts from the Rome Renegades, where he helped lead the Renegades to a National Indoor Football League Championship appearance. In just 8 games for the Renegades, Tisdale rushed for 325 yards and 19 rushing touchdown, averaging 3.8 yards per carry. Tisdale attended Miles College in Birmingham, Alabama were he was a three year letterman.

William Glover (Wide Receiver, 6'0", 185 lbs), returns for his second season with the ThunderBolts. Last season Glover was third in the league for all purpose yards, with 10 Touchdowns, 2 kick off returns for touchdowns and 40 receptions in just 8 games. Glover attended college at Georgia Tech, were he was the 4th All-time leading receiver.

William Andrews (Wide Receiver, 6'0", 188), a two time 1-AA All-American with 233 receptions for 3,149 yards and 35 touchdowns during his collegiate career at Gardner Webb University. Last season Andrews had over 45 receptions and 8 touchdowns for the ThunderBolts.

Chris Campbell (Offensive Line/Defensive Line, 6'4", 293 lbs), is back with the ThunderBolts to finish the job he started last season at right guard and defensive back. He played football at South Carolina State University.

Lance Small (Linebacker, 5'11", 215), lettered four years with the University of Rhode Island were he led the conference with 115 tackles. Small returns for his second stint with the ThunderBolts were he led the team with 85 tackles.
