ThunderBolts 2006 NIFL Schedule Announced

LAKELAND-The Lakeland ThunderBolts today announced their schedule for their 2nd season of Professional Indoor Football. The 2006 season kicks off when the ThunderBolts face the West Palm Beach Phantoms on March 11, at the Lakeland Center.
The ThunderBolts are members of the National Indoor Football (NIFL), which has a total of 24 teams nationwide. The ThunderBolts are part of the Atlantic Conference, Southern Division, which also includes the Miami Morays, West Palm Beach Phantoms, and Osceola Outlaws. In addition to divisional rivals the ThunderBolts will also take on non-divisional NIFL teams the Arkansas Stars, Charleston Sandsharks, Dayton Warbirds, Hammond Heros, and Charlotte, North Carolina.
"The fact that our first two games are at home are a plus", said General Manager Larry Kiernan. "We can not wait to show the great people of Polk County, the great football and terrific entertainment, they will receive at every ThunderBolts home game." "Plus we are looking forward to establishing intense interstate rivalries and having our fans see teams from many areas of the country."
"The talent of the league this year has defiantly been upgraded, but with the athletes and experience that we have assembled I feel confident that the ThunderBolts will be a force to be reckoned with in the NIFL", stated Head Coach Teddy Keaton.
All home games for the ThunderBolts will be played at 7pm at the Lakeland Center. The ThunderBolts will play six of their home games on Saturday night and one game on Friday night.
