Thunder Set for Exhibition Finale

McAllen, Texas---- The McAllen Thunder is prepared to face the Edinburg Roadrunners in their pre-season finale at Edinburg Baseball Stadium starting at 10:30 a.m. The Thunder lost their first exhibition game to the Rio Grande Valley White wings 3-2 last week.
Manager Al Gallagher said, "This is the final opportunity I get to see players in in-game situations before opening day. This will serve for me as to who makes the team and who does not."
Gallagher also said that "I already have some spots secure but it all comes down to that final bench spot and also that final bullpen spot. It will let me see players that could not play against the White wings, but will face the Roadrunners to see how things shape out."
The Thunder will start their season on the road on May 23, 2012 against the San Angelo Colts at Foster Field with the first schedule at 7:05 p.m.
The Thunder is in their 2nd season of professional baseball and will open up their home 2012 ULB season on Tuesday, June 5 versus Abilene Prairie Dogs. Season Tickets, Family Passes and group nights for Thunder games are available at 956-380-6256 .
