Bloomington Thunder News Release
BLOOMINGTON, Illinois - In order to make room for their newest acquisition, Jake Durflinger, the Bloomington Thunder announced a trade with the Des Moines Buccaneers Wednesday morning in conjunction with the United States Hockey League. Forward Will Harrison (St. Lawrence University) was moved in exchange for a Phase-II 7th round pick in the 2016 USHL Draft.
Harrison, 19, was a 3rd round draft pick of the Thunder in Phase-II the 2015 USHL draft. The forward made the team out of camp and played in 3 games with Bloomington, taking nine shots over those games. This included a game high six shots against the Youngstown Phantoms on Saturday, Oct. 3.
Prior to the 2015-16 regular season, Harrison announced his commitment to St. Lawrence University. The Springfield, VA played for the Amarillo Bulls in the NAHL before making the trip north to Bloomington. With the Bulls, the 5-foot-10 forward was second on the team with 43 points (20g, 23a) in 49 games played.
