Thunder Roster Cut to 28

PORTLAND, OR - The training camp field was a little emptier on Monday as the Thunder made their first round of cuts in preparation for the season opener on March 17. The remaining players, however, continued to make strides toward a successful season.

"In week two, you're really looking just to clean up any of the mistakes you were making in the first week," said Head Coach Matthew Sauk. "We haven't really had a step-back day so far. I think the team has gotten a little bit more comfortable every day."

The Portland Thunder will kick off its inaugural season at the Moda Center on Monday, March 17th when they take on the San Jose SaberCats.
