Thunder Record Third Call-Up of Season
November 13, 2013 - SPHL (SPHL)
Bloomington Thunder News Release
For the third time this season, a member of the Bloomington Thunder has been called up to an ECHL team.
Defenseman William Lacasse was sent to the Fort Wayne Komets of the ECHL on Tuesday. Lacasse (pronounced luh-KAHS) recorded one goal and one assist for two points with 16 penalty minutes in the Thunder's six games played so far. This is his second professsional season after spending most of the 2012-13 campaign split between Augusta of the Southern Professional Hockey League and Greenville of the ECHL. Lacasse is a 6-1, 195-pound native of Saint-Pie, Quebec.
Lacasse is the third Thunder player to be called up after goalies Max Strang began the season in Fort Wayne and Garrett Bartus was called up to Evansville before the Thunder season opener. Strang has returned to Bloomington from his loan to Fort Wayne. The Thunder lead the SPHL in call-ups this season.
