Bloomington Thunder News Release
The Bloomington Thunder have sent a league-leading fourth player to a higher level in the young 2013-14 Southern Professional Hockey League campaign.
Forward Nic Polaski has been called up to the Denver Cutthroats of the Central Hockey League. Polaski, a 6-1, 220-pound forward from Colorado Spring, Colorado, has one assist and 11 penalty minutes in the eight Thunder games so far this season.
Polaski joins a group that includes goalies Max Strang and Garrett Bartus and defenseman William Lacasse as Thunder players who have moved up to the AA level this season. Lacasse remains on his call-up with the Fort Wayne Komets of the CHL.
The Thunder ride a two-game winning streak as they travel to Lafayette, La. this Friday and Saturday to take on the first-place Louisiana IceGators. The Thunder defeated the Gators twice last weekend in Bloomington. The Thunder return to U.S. Cellular Coliseum on Saturday, November 30 to face the Peoria Rivermen.
