Thunder Loses to Brahmas

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX- The Wichita Thunder lost 3-1 to the Texas Brahmas on Sunday evening at the NYTEX Sports Centre. Brahmas' wing Tyler Skworchinski scored two goals, including an empty netter in the final minute to put the game away.

Trailing 2-0 in the second, Chris Tarkir scored on a rebound from Mike Zbriger to get Wichita on the scoreboard. The Thunder spent much of the first and third periods killing penalties, and totaled 36 PIM by the end of the night. The Brahmas meanwhile finished with just eight PIM.

John Daigneau took the loss, saving 26 of 28. Brett Jaeger saved 24 of 25 in the win. Tarkir's goal was his third in the last four games.

The Thunder hosts the Rapid City Rush on Wednesday at the Coliseum at 7:05 p.m. Hot dogs will cost just $1.00 throughout the game, courtesy of Bar S Foods.
