Thunder Loans Veteran Defenseman Jordan Henry to Oklahoma City Barons

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League, announced today that the team has loaned veteran defenseman Jordan Henry to the Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League on a professional tryout agreement (PTO).

Henry, 26, should be available to make his AHL season debut with Oklahoma City tomorrow at Abbotsford, starting at 7:00 p.m.

The 6-foot-3 and 195 pound blueliner has competed in 262 career games in the AHL with Rochester, Abbotsford and Chicago and collected 66 points along with 385 penalty minutes. He also suited up for Södertälje (Sweden) earlier this season, collecting a goal and an assist in seven games.

Henry was signed by the Thunder as a free agent on Nov. 3 and has collected two assists and a +1 rating in two ECHL games this season.

The Thunder returns to play tomorrow at 7:15 p.m. against the San Francisco Bulls at the Cow Palace (1280 KWSX/StocktonThunder.com).

A two time recipient of the ECHL "Award of Excellence," the Thunder led the ECHL in attendance for four consecutive seasons and drew over 200,000 fans for the seventh consecutive season in 2011-12.
