Thunder invites fans to select dance team name

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The name for the Daytona Beach Thunder dance team has been narrowed down to five finalists. Now it's up to fans of the American Indoor Football League expansion team to decide.
Okay, it's not exactly in the realm of American Idol, but it's pretty cool to know that you played a part in the growth of a successful indoor football team.
Out of the dozens of entries received via the Web site, the five finalists are [in random order]:
Thunder Cats (Kats)
Lightning
Roar
Thunderbirds
Thunderettes
Fans may select their favorite in the Polls section on the right side of the Thunder Web site. Once the voting ends, the first fan that submitted the winning name will win a Thunder gift pack, which includes a season ticket for the inaugural 2006 season.
