Minnesota Thunder News Release
As many of you may know by now, Minnesota Thunder head coach Buzz Lagos has announced that he will step down as the coach of the Thunder after the 2005 season. With that said, our last regular season home game is this Saturday, Sept. 10 at 7:05 p.m. against the Atlanta Silverbacks at James Griffin Stadium in St. Paul.
This night has been coined "Buzz Lagos Family and Friends night." Buzz would like to invite anybody that he has come in contact with over the years to attend this final home match of the season.
The Thunder will be honoring Buzz at halftime and several former Thunder players will be on hand for the ceremonies. I encourage you to attend and to send a notice to anybody that may be interested in attending as well.
Buzz has been instrumental in the development of soccer in the state of Minnesota, both at the youth and professional levels. Let's show our appreciation of Buzz by having a capacity crowd on Saturday night.
