TRENDS: Augusta has lost five straight, Daytona Beach has won 3 of 4

LAST WEEK: Augusta got spanked by Raleigh 46-18; Daytona Beach stomped Chattahoochee Valley 61-34.

WHY THIS GAME IS SORTA IMPORTANT: There is some playoff significance. The Thunder is currently the fourth seed in the AIFL's Southern Conference. With Chattahoochee earning a forfeit this week over Carolina, the Thunder needs a win to keep that fourth and final spot. Augusta just needs a win, period.

WE'RE THAT GOOD? The Thunder's fourth in the league in scoring offense at 47.7 points a game. Other tops in the stats: Oscar Davenport 7th in total offense and 7th in passing yards, Robert Bailey 7th in scoring and 3rd in all purpose yards and 1st in kickoff return average, Brad Lee 3rd in rushing and 4th in rushing TDs, Nick Allison 4th in interceptions, Durell Preston 4th in tackles and Rahsaan Kearney 8th in sacks.

WHO'S IN, WHO'S OUT: Calvin Thomas will make his first appearance of the season, Kwase Kwaku has been reactivated, and Ricky Williams, no not that dope smoker.

WHO'S HURTING: Tarion Hubbard and Lucas Greene are out to injury and Robert Bailey will be a game-time decision.

SLIP-SLIDING: The Thunder's first-ever victory was at Augusta on a slippery field. Since then the Thunder is 3-1 and the Spartans 0-5.

POW: Andy Eminger was named AIFL Southern Conference special teams player of the week.
