
Thunder Drop Season Opener

San Angelo, Texas---- The McAllen Thunder lost the season opener to the San Angelo Colts by a score of 16-6 Wednesday night at Foster Field.
Colts (1-0) first baseman Daryl Jones went 3 for 3 including two doubles and drove in two runs to pace the offense, while Landon Camp and Jason Crosland each hit their first homerun of the season.
Thunder (0-1) starter Sean Keeler took the loss allowing six runs on five hits. Brian Nichols hit his first homerun of the season, while Antoin Gray went 3 for 4 with three runs driven in and a homerun.
The Thunder and Colts will continue their four game series at Foster Field with the first at 7:05 p.m. as Quinn Bright is scheduled to face Logan Williamson.
The Thunder is in their 2nd season of professional baseball and will open up their home 2012 ULB season on Tuesday, June 5 versus Abilene Prairie Dogs. Season Tickets, Family Passes and group nights for Thunder games are available at956-380-6256.
