Portland Thunder News Release
PORTLAND, OR - The Portland Thunder continue to reconfigure their lineup heading into training camp, picking up offensive lineman Matt Hunt, placing wide receiver Eric Rogers on Other League Exempt (CFL), and placing wide receiver Tyler Beiler on recallable reassignment.
"Matt's an excellent lineman with great strength - we expect him to be hungry to play and compete every down," said Head Coach Matthew Sauk. On Rogers, he added, "It's tough to lose a guy like Eric; he's our fourth player to sign in the CFL or NFL already, but it's a great opportunity and we're excited for him."
Hunt (6-1, 330) started 22 games at Fresno State University, spending his senior season, 2012, as a starter on an offensive line that allowed Fresno State to tie for 12th nationally in scoring and passing offense.
The Portland Thunder will kick off its inaugural season at the Moda Center on Monday, March 17th when they take on the San Jose SaberCats. Season tickets are available for purchase starting as low as $99 by calling 503-773-4AFL or by visiting www.portlandthunder.com.
