2012-13 SCHEDULE BREAKDOWN

For the 2012-13 regular season, the Thunder will continue to participate in a traditional 72 game schedule that emphasizes rivalries against Western Conference foes.

A total of 13 games in 2012-13 will have the Thunder squaring off against the San Francisco Bulls, the newest addition to the Western Conference and the closest geographical opponent to the Thunder. The first meeting between both teams is Friday, Nov. 9 at Cow Palace, beginning at 7:15 p.m. The Bulls will make their first visit to Stockton Arena on Friday, Jan. 18 at 7:30 p.m.

Thunder head coach Matt Thomas will face former assistant coach Ryan Mougenel eight times in 2012-13, in a season matchup against the defending Western Conference champion Las Vegas Wranglers. The first meeting of the regular season is in Las Vegas, at Orleans Arena on Friday, Oct. 19 at 7:05 p.m. The first time the teams will meet at Stockton Arena is on Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 7:00 p.m.

After being eliminated in five games during the 2012 Western Conference Semifinal by the Alaska Aces, the Thunder faces its Western Conference rival ten times in the regular season. The first rematch since the Conference Semifinal is at Stockton Arena on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 7:30 p.m.

PROMOTION AND EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

"Thunder Goes Pink VII," the flagship event of all Thunder fundraising outreach events during the hockey season, is scheduled for November 2-4 at Stockton Arena which features a three game series against Alaska and the Bakersfield Condors. The wildly popular event continued to help spotlight and raise funds to benefit local breast cancer treatment and prevention. This past season over $38,000 was raised to benefit the St. Joseph's Foundation - Breast Cancer Services. Since the event began in 2006-07, the Thunder has raised over $225,000 to touch hearts and lives through "Pink.".
