Thunder Adds Gale

October 13, 2010 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Wichita Thunder News Release

WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Thunder made a late addition to its training camp roster on Wednesday, signing forward A.J. Gale.

Gale finished fifth in goals (15) and tied for eighth in points (25) among CHL rookies last season while playing in 58 games for the Texas Brahmas. The left winger's six power play goals were also four more than any other first-year player. A native of Nanaimo, British Columbia, Gale played four years of junior hockey with the BCHL's Nanaimo Clippers where he totaled 151 points in 162 games from 2003-2008. In between, the 23-year old Gale played college hockey at both St. Cloud State and St. Norbert College.

The Thunder also waived rookie forward Ryan Driscoll. Earlier this week, Wichita also released forwards Shane Foster, Brad Bonello, and Garett Cameron. The Thunder now has 20 players on its roster with opening night scheduled for Friday at Tulsa.
