
Thunder Acquires Dufour from Brampton

Wichita, KS - The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Edmonton Oilers, AHL's Bakersfield Condors and powered by Toyota, announced today that the team has acquired forward Kevin Dufour from the Brampton Beast in exchange for defenseman Jamie Doornbosch.
Dufour, 25, comes to Wichita after appearing in 26 games for the Beast. A native of Quebec City, Quebec, the 6-foot, 194-pound forward has four goals and six assists in his rookie campaign. He turned pro last year, signing with the South Carolina Stingrays after his senior season ended at Bowling Green State University. He recorded seven points (3g, 4a) in nine games and added an assist during the Stingrays playoff run.
During his four-year career with the Falcons, Dufour played in 154 games, tallying 54 goals and 33 assists for 87 points. He was named as an assistant captain and set career-highs in goals (18), assists (12) and points (30) during his senior year in 2016-17.
Prior to his time in college, he played one season in the Central Canadian Hockey League for the Carleton Place Canadians, scoring 58 points (26g, 32a) in 57 games.
The Thunder starts a four-game mini series tonight against the Allen Americans at the Allen Event Center.
