Portland Thunder News Release
PORTLAND, OR - The Thunder acquired Cleveland wide receiver Jamar Howard in exchange for future considerations.
"Howard's a big, strong receiver with great hands," said Head Coach Matthew Sauk. "He was recently playing in the CFL and we're excited to see what he can do here with us."
Howard (6-4, 215) played a partial season with the Gladiators in 2013, racking up 422 yards on 39 receptions and picking up six touchdowns. He left the season early, joining the CFL's Edmonton Eskimos late in their season.
Howard will step in to Justin Monahan's spot in the receiving corps as Monahan heads to the injured reserve list.
