
Thunder Acquire AFL Veteran Thurman

PORTLAND, OR - The Portland Thunder have acquired veteran wide receiver Andrae Thurman from the Philadelphia Soul in return for future considerations.
"Andrae's a leader," said Head Coach Matthew Sauk. "He's a guy you can count on to play every play, catch every pass, and lead, both on and off the field. It's great to bring him back to Oregon."
Thurman (6-0, 185), who finished his college career at Southern Oregon University, has compiled 3,354 yards on 279 receptions and scored 63 touchdowns in a four-year AFL career. The versatile player has also rushed for 62 yards, intercepted a pass, and returned kicks for 320 yards and a TD.
