October 18, 2019 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Nashville SC News Release

NASHVILLE - Nashville Soccer Club is gearing up for its regular season finale this Saturday, Oct. 19 at First Tennessee Park as Atlanta United 2 comes to Music City for one last showdown. The match is set to kickoff at 7 p.m. CT and is presented by Coca-Cola. Regardless of Saturday's result, Nashville SC will return to First Tennessee Park on Saturday, Oct. 26 to host the first round of the USL Championship Playoffs. However, three points would get Nashville SC one step closer to finishing out the regular season in the Eastern Conference's top spot.

Here are the three things to know about Saturday's match:

1.) Thank You, Fans

For the final match of the regular season, Nashville SC is rolling out sweet deals as a thank you for supporting the team all season. Fan-friendly pricing on concessions including $2 32oz. sodas and $5 draft beer. Fans can also take advantage of 30% off all USL-branded merchandise, $25 and $40 grab bags originally valued at $50 and $75, respectively. Discounted tickets to the match are available here.

2.) Fighting for First

After Week 32's results, Nashville SC is guaranteed a top-two finish in the Eastern Conference and will host in the first round of the USL Championship Playoffs. NSC still has the opportunity to end the regular season as the conference winners barring results this weekend. Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC sits one point ahead of Nashville and is set to play Birmingham on Sunday, Oct. 20. Nashville will finish first in the conference with a Nashville SC win over Atlanta United 2 and a Pittsburgh loss or draw, or with a Nashville SC draw and a Pittsburgh loss.

3.) Pickens Racing for Golden Glove

Nashville SC goalkeeper Matt Pickens is in prime position to clinch the league's Golden Glove, an award given to the goalkeeper with the lowest goals against average at the end of the regular season. Pickens has led the Boys in Gold to earn 13 clean sheets so far in 2019 allowing just 26 goals in 33 matches, making Nashville the least scored on team in the league. Should Pickens allow fewer than three goals on Saturday, he will have officially clinched the Golden Glove award for the first time in his career.
