Chicago Rush News Release

The Chicago Rush added three more rookies to its 2007 training camp roster with the addition of linemen Kinji Green and Demetrios Walker, and WR/DB James Sadler, the team announced today.

Green (6-2, 275, San Jose State) signed a two-year contract after spending the last four years as a starter at defensive tackle for San Jose State University. He recorded 167 tackles and 4.5 sacks in his career and was named second-team All-Western Athletic Conference as a senior. In addition, Green was a four-time Academic All-WAC honoree and was named the San Jose Sports Hall of Fame's Male Amateur Athlete of the Year for 2006.

Walker (6-2, 260, Middle Tennessee State) joins the Rush after spending time over the past three years with the Kansas City Chiefs, NFL Europe's Rhein Fire and the CFL's Hamilton Tiger-Cats. At Middle Tennessee State, Walker recorded 88 tackles and eight sacks in 35 career games, and was named second-team All-Sun Belt conference as a senior. He signed a three-year contract with the Rush.

Sadler (6-0, 205, SW Oklahoma State) comes to Chicago after agreeing to a two-year deal. He has spent the past two seasons playing with the af2's Tulsa Talons, and was the team's leading defender in 2006, recording 69.0 tackles, eight interceptions and 20 passes broken up.

The Rush defeated the Orlando Predators 69-61 in June to capture the ArenaBowl XX title. The win capped an amazing playoff run in which the underdog Rush won three consecutive road games on its way to the championship game.
