Three Jackals Named To UHL All-Star Game

Elmira, NY - The United Hockey League announced Wednesday afternoon the official rosters for the 2007 UHL All-Star Classic in Fort Wayne, including three Jackals Brent Cullaton, Scott Wray and Dale Lupul.

Brent Cullaton, the Jackals captain will lead the Elmira trio in representing the Jackals during the UHL's annual event on Wednesday, January 17th, 2007 at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Playing in just 25 of the Jackals 32 games this season, Cullaton leads Elmira in scoring with 33 points (9 goals, 24 assists), which ties him for 8th in the UHL in scoring. The Petawawa, Ontario native leads the UHL in short-handed assists (4) and is 6th in the league in overall assists (24).

Joining the captain in the forward ranks of the Eastern Conference All-Stars will be left wing Scott Wray. The Ottawa, Ontario native is tied for 14th in the UHL in scoring with 29 points (15 goals, 14 assists) in 32 games for Elmira. He leads the Jackals in goals (15) and is 2nd in the league in shots (167) and short-handed assists (3).

Defenseman Dale Lupul will be the Jackals lone blue liner going to this year's All-Star Classic. A second-year rookie, Lupul has emerged as a dominant force in both offensive and defensive zones. The Port Coquitlam, British Columbia native leads all Jackals defenseman in scoring with 20 points (8 goals, 12 assists) in 32 games played and is 2nd on the team in shots (105). He is 5th amongst UHL defenseman in points (20), 4th in goals (8) and he is tied for 10th amongst rookies in scoring.

"We are very happy for all three of our All-Stars," said Jackals Head Coach/General Manager Robbie S. Nichols. "Each of them have had a fine start to the season and they will represent the Jackals very well at the upcoming All-Star Game."

The official rosters for each conference are comprised of 20 players (18 skaters and 2 goaltenders) with each UHL Member Club represented by a minimum of two players. The starting lineups for the 2007 UHL All-Star Classic will be selected by the fans. Jackals fans who wish to vote Cullaton, Wray and Lupul into the starting lineup must visit the official website of the UHL, www.theuhl.com. Fans will be able to vote for the starting lineups from Thursday, January 4th through Tuesday, January 9th.

The Jackals continue their Week 13 action on the road Friday January 5th and Saturday January 6th at Perani Arena against the Flint Generals. Both games are scheduled to face off at 7:30 pm. Elmira is back home on Sunday January 7th as they host the 1st place Muskegon Fury for a 4:05 pm face off at First Arena.
