Daytona Tortugas News Release
What's on tap for this weekend?
Our Cubbies are on the road in Sarasota, but if you're not willing to make the trek to the west coast, stay in town for the Daytona Beach Seafood Festival in the Halifax Harbor Marina (off Beach Street). Here's the schedule of events:
Friday, May 9th 5 pm â 10 pm Saturday, May 10th Noon â 10 pm
Seafood from local eateries like Angell & Phelps Restaurant and Wine Bar, The Chart House, Tapas and many more.
Fishing & Boat Expo: Marinas, fishing supplies, boating accessories, trailers, charters/camps, covers/tops, rods/reels, bait, and BOATS, BOATS, BOATS!
Kingfish Brawl: 100+ boats competing to catch the largest Kingfish â watch the weigh-in after 3 pm
For those who want to make the games at Sarasota, Saturday's start time is 7:00 pm, Sunday's is 1:00 pm.
The Daytona Cubs are currently five games out of first place and are riding a three-game winning streak. The Cubs are 6-2 in extra inning baseball this season yesterday's daytime four-hour plus match-up against Palm Beach was just another example of why a lot of games this season will go down to the wire.
I won't quote Yogi here, but you know it's a fact...
