PORTLAND, February 22, 2009 - Before the Portland LumberJax play the Philadelphia Wings on Saturday, February 28th, The Jax have two days of school appearances this week. On Wednesday, February 25th, members of the team will be at Rivermill Elementary School from 9:15 a.m.-1:15 p.m. As part of Pacific Power's School Program, the organization makes countless visits to local Oregon schools. The school program promotes the importance of a healthy lifestyle, provides lacrosse instruction, offers well-liked demonstrations and the viewing of the hit Jax School Program DVD.
The Jax return to Rivermill a day later to once again present the ever popular School Program.
Then, the week concludes on Saturday, February 28th as the Jax host the Wings at 7:30 p.m. at the Rose Garden Arena. Portland is looking to win its fourth straight game, and third straight at home.
