Undefeated Performance at NAHL Showcase Puts Tornado Back on Top An interesting fact... despite winning Back-to-Back National Championships the past two seasons, the Texas Tornado has never won all of their games during the past two NAHL Showcases in Minnesota. That is, until this season. With victories over the Bismarck Bobcats, Southern Minnesota Express, USA National Team, and Fargo-Moorhead Jets, the Texas Tornado went 4-0-0 at the Minnesota Showcase while many players caught the eyes of the hundreds of scouts that were in attendance. And, with the performance of the South Division as a whole, is there any question that the Tornado play in the toughest Division in the NAHL? After the Tornado had defeated the USA National Team during Day #3 of the Showcase, Phil Housley, who is the top scoring U.S-born NHL defenseman and third all-time among US born NHL players, and who was an assistant coach for the USA Team during the week of the Showcase, had this to say about the Texas Tornado: "The Texas Tornado team was by far the best team we've played. You can see why they've won the championship twice in the last two years. They don't do anything fancy. They don't make it hard, they just keep coming and they don't panic. What you see is what they are. The coach (Tony Curtale) has done a great job with that team." The Tornado and the Bozeman Ice Dogs were the only teams to go undefeated at the Showcase. Texas Tornado results from the 2005 NAHL Showcase:

Thursday, October 20 - Southern Minnesota Express 2 @ Texas Tornado 5 (Game-Winning goal: Arcibal)

Saturday, October 22 - Texas Tornado 4 @ Fargo-Moorhead Jets 1 (Game-Winning goal: Danowski)
