Portland Thunder News Release

PORTLAND, OR - The Portland Thunder have been assigned Dustin Risseeuw, a fullback from Western Oregon University.

Risseeuw (6-2, 280) is the third of three open tryout participants who impressed the coaching staff in training camp and are now on the Thunder roster. The others are Brandon Tett and Brandon Lockheart.

"Dustin's another one of those local guys who came in and performed really well in the open tryout. He did a great job in camp and he was definitely one of those guys we wanted to stay in contact with," said Head Coach Matthew Sauk. "He should be able to step in and help us make some plays. I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do."

The Portland Thunder continue their inaugural season tomorrow in the Moda Center at 7 p.m. against the San Jose Sabercats. Season tickets are available for purchase starting as low as $77 by calling 503-773-4AFL or by visiting www.portlandthunder.com.
