Things are heating up with the Nebraska Cranes

May 5, 2005 - United States Basketball League (USBL) - Nebraska Cranes News Release

Kearney, Neb. – Cranes fans, the ice is gone! Things are really heating up in this nest, so be sure to come check it out!

On the floor tonight will be UNK star, Nick Branting. Branting was released on Tuesday from his previous injury and will be suiting up tonight. Don’t miss his first night in action as a Crane!

Don’t miss this Friday’s game, May 6th, as the Nebraska Cranes take on the Pennsylvania ValleyDawgs. Darryl Dawkins, former professional basketball player for the Philadelphia 76ers and the New Jersey Nets, is the head coach for the ValleyDawgs.

Dawkins was the first player to go straight from high school to the NBA, drafted fifth overall out of Maynard Evans High School (FL) by the Sixers in the 1975 NBA Draft. Dawkins was a fan favorite because of his backboard-shattering dunks. Don’t miss this opportunity to see "Chocolate Thunder" as his team takes on the Nebraska Cranes.

Tickets are still available by calling the box office at 308-338-8011. Prices range from $7 up to $16 for floor seating. Check out the Web site at www.nebraskacranes.com for more information.
