Manatees fans, make your plans to attend the Brevard Achievement Center's Coffee & Chocolate Event tomorrow night in Cocoa Village. The BAC is a fantastic organization that assists disabled citizens with training and job placement. Last season we were proud to have two BAC clients working Manatees games (Nick and Justin). This fundraiser in a great night out. There's chocolate, chocolate, more chocolate, coffee and chocolate, live music, a cookie decorating contest and lots more, including chocolate. It's a fun event and those that weren't with us last season will enjoy our version of Pimp My Cookie. The Manatees have an entry in the contest and naturally, with no talent to decorate anything (like last weekend's race car), we have to get creative, hence, we literally limp thru decorating our cookie but attach prizes to it such as some rounds of golf and golf balls from our friends at Duran Golf Course, some Hot Dogs and Cokes to go with a 21-person Luxury Suite to Manatees Opening Night donated by our friends at Ovations, our concessionaire here at the stadium, and some tickets for your friends and family. Now, you can bid on the cookie that's decorated like a teddy bear and get a bag of M&Ms if you want, and hey, Jimmy Cracked Corn you'll win top honors in the 'Awww!' factor from your wife or girlfriend, but that doesn't register squat on the fun meter as far as we're concerned.
