The Title Chase and Family Fun
March 15, 2004 - NBA G League (G League) News Release
The slumping Charleston Lowgators are the Who currently in first place in the standings, but a Lowgators' loss at Roanoke Tuesday night would leave Charleston and the Dazzle with identical 21-17 records. What could happen, however, if Asheville wins at Columbus that same evening and Roanoke hands Charleston its seventh loss in eight games, the Altitude will be Who's in first and the Dazzle and Lowgators will be tied for second.
THAT GETS US TO A POSSIBLE I DON'T KNOW IN THIRD
Should the Dazzle and the Altitude both win on Tuesday, then Friday's Asheville game at Huntsville becomes even bigger because a Flight win at home leaves Charleston, Roanoke and Asheville all 21-17 and tied for first going into Saturday, with I Don't Know, or nobody, in third because of the gridlock and Huntsville in fourth at 19-18.

CARRION TO THE OLYMPICS
NBDL official Jose Carrion has been selected by FIBA to be a referee for the 2004 Olympic Games in Greece. The Olympic Basketball Tournament will take place August 14-28. Carrion is completing his second season as an NBDL official.
HAVEN'T SKIPPED A BEAT
The Asheville Altitude is currently the hottest team in the NBDL, winning seven of the last 10 games and 14 of the last 20, but what makes the record more remarkable is that Coach Joey Meyer has continued to win while NBA teams were raiding the Altitude cupboard. Over a span of 13 days in late February the Altitude had three players sign NBA contracts.
