TWO MORE DAYSÂ… Until the kicks off the 2005 season at #5 Rio Grande Valley. Kick-off is set for 8:30 P.M. and the game can be heard on 1080-AM with Paul Wilman. The 2005 opening night roster is listed below. HOME OPENERÂ… The home opener is a little more than a week away. The Fire will open the 2005 home schedule against the South Georgia Wildcats on April 15. Opening night will be brought to you by CHA Health and Budweiser. We will be giving away 1,000 Kentucky Derby Festival pins and Bud and Bud Light will be just $1. Kick-off is set for 7:30 but get to parking lot J early for Sumerset Houseboats tailgating.

SEASON TICKETS & GROUP OUTINGSÂ… With just a little over a week until the home opener itÂ’s not to late to order season tickets or schedule your group outing. You can purchase tickets by calling the office 368-0009 or visit www.louisvillefirefootball.com. ItÂ’s also not too early to schedule your group outing for your company, family or church group. Group rates start at just $10 a ticket and you can reserve your group for opening night by calling the office.

FIRE JUMPS TO SIXÂ… Despite not playing last week the Fire moved up four spots in the weekly af2 Coaches Poll from tenth to sixth. This weekÂ’s opponent the Rio Grande Valley Dorados are ranked fifth in this weekÂ’s poll. The entire poll is as follows:

AXE TRYOUTÂ… The Fire will hold auditions for AXE on Saturday from 4 -7 at Hooters on Dixie Highway. If you would like to audition call the Fire office at (502)368-0009 or come to Hooters on Saturday.

BIRTHDAY PARTIESÂ… The Fire also has birthday party packages available for all eight home games. Birthday packages include 12 tickets to the game, 12 hot dogs, 12 drinks, chips, a birthday cake and 30 tickets for the Meijer Kids Zone activities for just $200.
