BENGALS vs. RAVENS TICKETS... Hey Fire fans pay attention to your e-mail next week. We will be sending out a special edition of The Fire Wire sometime next week with a chance to win four tickets to the Baltimore Ravens/Cincinnati Bengals game on September 26 in Cincinnati. These are prime seats in the lower level at Paul Brown Stadium behind the Ravens bench. There are two stipulations for this contest:

1. You have to be a Fire season ticket holder.

2. You have to have paid for your 2005 tickets.

HOME TEAM DOMINANCE... The Florida Firecats continued the trend of home team dominance in the ArenaCup Championship Game. The Firecats defeated the National Conference champion Peoria Pirates 36-26 last Friday night in Ft. Myers. With the victory the Firecats became the first American Conference team to win the Cup. THE TIGER SURVIVES... King of the Jungle 2 returned with a new two-hour episode last night and Fire WR/DB Tony Stallings made it through to the next episode. The members of the pride got to interact with an ostrich, a river otter and a leopard on last night's episode. The second hour also saw the return of Tony's buddy Roberto. COACHING UPDATE... Fire players and coaches continue to help out at local high schools. Coach Johnson and the KCD Bearcats defeated Eminence 9-0. They will take on Evangel Christian this Friday at KCD. Fire WR/DB Tony "the Tiger" Stallings is at Atherton High School and they fell to Valley 41-14. Atherton will take on Moore Friday night. Fire owner Will Wolford is back at his alma mater St. X helping out and the Tigers beat Lexington Catholic 44-7. The Tigers will head to Cincinnati this weekend to play Moeller in Paul Brown Stadium. Fire FB/LB Demetrius Forney and the Clarksville Generals suffered their second defeat of the season 14-6 against Corydon. Clarksville will take on Brownstown Friday night at 8:00. Former Fire WR/LB Alfonzo Browning is at North Harrison High and they lost 15-13 to Perry Central. They will take on Charlestown this Friday night at 7:30. Fire assistant Coach Oscar Brohm is at Trinity and the Rocks had the week off. Fire Line Coach Adam Shackelford is also an assistant coach at Anderson University just outside of Indianapolis. The Ravens will open their 2004 season Saturday afternoon against Olivet Nazarene. Fire OL/DL Andrew Tippins is a graduate assistant at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota and they defeated Wayne St. 45-14 last weekend to open the season 1-0. The Huskies will face the University of Minnesota – Crookston tomorrow night. We will keep you updated each week on how everyone is doing.
