Teams to house players starting in 2005
September 1, 2004 - arenafootball2 (af2) News Release
CHICAGO - Beginning in 2005, af2 teams are allowed to house players during the season, the league office announced today.
"Anything we can do to help ease the financial sacrifice our players make is a positive," said Interim Executive Director Jerry Kurz. "This will help alleviate some of the burden so that they can focus more on moving up to the next level."
Under the new housing rules, every player on a team's roster can be housed. Prior to this announcement, af2 teams were only allowed to house two players on their roster.
