Texas Revolution Lose Tough Road Game

April 6, 2013 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Texas Revolution News Release

(Grand Island, NE) -- As comfortable as the Texas Revolution (2-3) looked in the first half, the second half started the opposite way against the Nebraska Danger (4-1).

Despite an opening drive interception by Quarterback Marcus Jackson (18-24, 231 yards, 7 TD, and 1 INT), the Revolution looked comfortable in their offense taking a 21-9 lead into the break.

The ball was distributed well amongst the Revolution receivers. Three players had two receiving touchdowns apiece: Phillip Barnett (7 Rec, 75 yards), Jordan Jolly (5 Rec, 115 yards), and Vondrell McGee (3 rec, 13 yards).

The Danger scored two quick touchdowns to start the 3rd quarter and outscored the Revolution 21-7 in that quarter. Two fumbles on kickoffs gave the ball, and momentum, to Nebraska in front of their loud crowd.

Despite five fumbles on the night, the Revolution never quit. Even when they were down by as much as 50-34 in the fourth quarter, they still fought through. Two late touchdowns and two point conversions brought the Revs within three points, but the time had run too low.

The Revolution return to the Allen Event Center for two straight weeks. Games are on April 13 and 20, with tickets still available.
