Texas Revolution Announce Press Conference

January 17, 2014 - Indoor Football League (IFL) - Texas Revolution News Release

Plano, TX: The Texas Revolution of the Indoor Football League (IFL) are holding a press conference on Friday, January 24th at Crest Cadillac in Plano, located off the Parker Rd exit of I-75 on the southbound service road. Lunch will be served to fans and media at 1:00 PM with a press conference to follow.

Other than behind the safety of the kicker position, no professional football team at any level has ever had the confidence to sign a female player. That will all change on Friday, the Revs General manager and Heisman Trophy winner Tim Brown introduces Dr. Jennifer Welter to the media and fans. "Dr. Welter is an amazing athlete who has proven herself to be amongst the top female tackle-football players in the world and we are excited to bring her into training camp" explained Brown. If Welter makes it through camp, she will play in the team's Season Premiere on February 15th. Though she may be considered a long shot to make the final roster, this event will showcase her talent as a female athlete and serve as a fundraiser for a charitable organization.

Perhaps even more unusual are the team's plans to giveaway every seat in the arena for the Saturday, February 15th Season Premiere Game at the Allen Event Center. "We amazed the community last year as we offered tickets to the home opener of our inaugural season for just $1. In efforts to top that this season, we plan to give away all 6,000 seats, but you have to see how we are going to do it in order to believe it!" stated team President, Tommy Benizio. The team plans to amaze and amuse the media and other guests next Friday at this outrageous event. Additionally, the team will be giving away five other prizes including a trip, cash and more! These prizes will be revealed throughout the week beginning on Monday.

All fans of the team are encouraged to attend as they will have the opportunity to leave with special prizes!
