Texas Revolution Announce New Signings, Holiday Packages
Plano, TX: The Texas Revolution announced the results of their recent open tryout as well as the addition of some new players to their roster for the upcoming 2013 season today.
On Sunday, November 11 the Revolution hosted their first open tryout at the Blue Sky Indoor Soccer facility in Allen, TX. New Head Coach Billy Back was on hand with his entire coaching staff to evaluate over 50 potential players for the 2013 season. From that pool of talented players the team was able to secure the commitments of eight players for the upcoming season, adding to an already extremely talented roster.
Of the eight players signed from the tryout, seven of them went to major FBS schools, which adds great credibility to the team. Joining the team from the University of Oklahoma is DB Darien Williams. Williams played in 46 games at Oklahoma, totaling 133 tackles, two sacks and an interception in four season. The Revolution also signed two former University of Tulsa Golden Hurricane players, OL Shawn Santos and DB Kedrick Alexander. Alexander was Tulsa's leading tackler in 2003 with 121 tackles. Two former Big 10 players from Purdue have committed to the Revolution, WR Keith Smith and WR Justin Siller look to add to the already talented wide receiving corps, in addition The team signed former Wrangler and Texas A&M WR Jeremy Brown following his showing at the workout.
In addition to these players the team added Florida RB Mon Williams, Tennessee DB Eddrick Loften, Florida State LB Anthony Kelly, Arkansas LB Jermaine Love, Alcorn State WR Simon Collier and Winston Salem State OL John Mobley.
"I have never coached over a tryout that had as much talent as this tryout did," said Revolution Head Coach Billy Back. "I have always thought the best football talent came out of Ohio, but I'm blown away by how many amazing athletes we saw here in Texas. The coaching staff and I are going to have our work cut out for us during training camp!"

The Revolution also announced today that they have three distinct holiday packages available for sale for the 2013 season!
For a limited time only fans can purchase a Family Four Pack which includes Four (4) Select Section Season Tickets, four t-shirts, four ball caps and an Autographed Tim Brown Revolution Football for $400.
Available as well is a package that includes 12 Reserved section vouchers, four t-shirts, eight soda vouchers, eight hot dog vouchers and an autographed team football for $350. Also running during this time period is a special for 15% off all season ticket prices through January 1st, 2013.
The Texas Revolution are proud members of the Indoor Football League, and play all home games in the Allen Event Center in Allen, TX.
