
Texas' Dan Gadzuric Signs with New York Knicks

NEW YORK, April 20, 2012 - The New York Knicks today signed Texas Legends center Dan Gadzuric for the record 57th GATORADE Call-Up of the 2011-12 NBA Development League season. Gadzuric joins more than 100 NBA players with NBA D-League experience currently on 2011-12 rosters.
In 12 games with the Legends this season, Gadzuric (6-11, 245, UCLA) averaged 12.0 points, 11.3 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 25.7 minutes. He recorded eight double-doubles, including a season-high 24 points and 17 rebounds in a 104-100 loss to the Los Angeles D-Fenders on April 6.
Originally selected in the second round (33rd overall) of the 2002 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks, Gadzuric owns NBA career averages of 4.7 points, 4.4 rebounds and 14.8 minutes over 525 games and nine seasons with the Bucks, New Jersey Nets and Golden State Warriors.
Gadzuric is expected to join the Knicks today and be available when the team travels to play the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight.
