
Texas Adds McPherson, Houk and Miceli on Tryout Agreements

CEDAR PARK, Texas - The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL's Dallas Stars, announced Sunday the team has signed forwards Allan McPherson, Angelo Miceli and defenseman Joe Houk to professional tryout agreements.
McPherson, 26, has appeared in 30 games this season with the ECHL's Greenville Swamp Rabbits after beginning the year in training camp with the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack. The 5-foot-10, 180-pound native of Kinburn, Ontario, has tallied 28 points (9-1928) this season in Greenville and has been previously called up to Hartford and the Utica Comets this season.
Miceli, 23, is currently ninth in the ECHL with 77 points (22-5577) in 68 games for Greenville this season. The 5-foot-10, 180-pound forward has previously competed with the AHL's St. John's IceCaps and began this season in training camp with Hartford.
Houk, 26, is one of the ECHL's top-scoring defensemen this season with 47 points (16-3147) in 69 games for Greenville. The 6-foot, 215-pound blueliner attended training camp with the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack before returning to the Swamp Rabbits. This is Houk's first career AHL call-up.
The Texas Stars are the primary development affiliate of the NHL's Dallas Stars, and are currently playing their eighth season at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park.
