Terry Denike named Sher-wood SPHL Player of the Month

[KISSIMMEE, Fla.] - The Florida Seals are proud to announce that goaltender Terry Denike has been named the Southern Professional Hockey League's Sher-wood Player of the Month. Denike is the first Seal to receive the honor.

The Seals backstop was busy during February playing in nine of the 10 contests. The Burlington, Ont. native finished the month with a bang. Denike has won his last five starts to finish 6-2-1.

The 6-1, 190-pounder also shined during February allowing only 24 goals and making 262 saves. Denike finished with a 2.58 goals against average and a .916 save percentage.

Denike's nine appearances in the month of February all came on the road during the Seals grueling 13-game, six week road trip. The Seals return to the Silver Spurs Arena for the first time in six weeks, Friday night against Huntsville. The puck drops at 7:35pm with the first 1,000 fans through the door receiving a "Seals #1 Foam Finger" courtesy of Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista.
