Montreal Impact News Release
MONTREAL, May 3, 2004 â Once again this year, soccer fans will be able to follow Montreal Impact activities on English-language radio, as 10 games will be broadcast on CJAD 800 during the 2004 A-League season. Nine of the 10 match-ups to be broadcast will be home games. The July 16 game in Syracuse will also be broadcast. The Impact will then be facing the Salty Dogs in New York State.
Impact games will therefore be broadcast on CJAD for a second straight year.
"We are very happy to be back on CJAD for another season," said Tony Laurenzana, Vice President, Marketing and Administration at the Montreal Impact. "In addition to our agreements with CKAC and RDS on the French side, it was important for us to resume our partnership with CJAD in order to allow the greatest number of fans possible to follow our team's activities closely."
"The Montreal Impact captured the imagination of soccer fans in 2003 and CJAD 800 is proud to be a part of the Impact success story in 2004," says Standard Radio Inc. Vice President Rob Braide, the General Manager of CJAD 800. "The Impact represent the diversity and unity of Montreal, and our CJAD 800 coverage will be as exceptional as the star-studded team will be on the field."
In addition to games broadcast on CJAD, 17 Impact match-ups will be presented on CKAC radio over the season. There will also be six TV broadcasts on RDS, and two on Fox Sports World. The complete list of games broadcast on CJAD, CKAC, RDS and FSW is available at www.montrealimpact.com.
