Whitecaps Announce Partnership With Rogers Sportsnet

Vancouver, BC – The Whitecaps FC in conjunction with Rogers Sportsnet and TVNW Media Group announced a partnership today to produce a Whitecaps weekly program that will air throughout the 2004 season. The program kicks off on Tuesday, May 4th at 1:00pm PST and runs for 18 weeks, with provisions for additional programming if the Whitecaps qualify for the play-offs in September. Secondary airings of the program will run on Shaw TV channel four and Delta Cable.

Rogers Sportsnet Pacific will air the Whitecaps half-hour program each week on Tuesdays with two repeat shows on Wednesday. Sportsnet reporters Craig MacEwen and Scott Rintoul and Whitecaps Director of Soccer Operations, Bob Lenarduzzi will host each program. The show will feature game highlights and up-to-date analysis of the Whitecaps Men's and Women's teams as they progress through the season.

"Sportsnet is a broadcast leader when it comes to soccer coverage, whether it's covering the European game or our own national team. We're excited to be working with them this season."
