'Tees win Two, Fans win Big

The Manatees won a DH tonight and ended just as the skies opened up; thank you Bo Hall for the perfect timing on closing out game #2. The 'Tees won game #1 1-0 in extra innings (8th inning of a seven inning game) and sealed the deal with a 6-3 win in the nightcap.

If you weren't here, here's what you missed.

All fans dressed as pirates received a ticket to an upcoming game and only pirates participated in the first round of Deal or No Deal, or, as we called it tonight, Treasure or No Treasure. Here's what the five contestants won:

- BO WALKER ($50 Gift certificate from Ruby Tuesday)

- KELLI McKERNAN (10 TENNIS BALLS FOR LAUNCH-A-BALL)

- ED DROSTEN (LIFETIME MANATEES SEASON TICKET)

- BILL McDONALD (4 TICKETS TO AN UPCOMING GAME & AN HONORARY FIRST PITCH)

- WENDY SLOAN ($200 GIFT CERTIFICATE FROM LOWE'S HARDWARE

Immediately following the game the rains came down so we had to cancel the post-game PIrate Fashion Show to determine the best and worst dressed pirates, however, we conducted more Deal or No Deal on the concourse.

Here's what Manatees fans won after Game #2:

- RAINER YAKICH (CAP & T-SHIRT COMBO FROM THE SOUVENIR STAND)

- DEBORAH HOLDEN (OPTED OUT FOR TICKETS AND A FIRST PITCH)

- MICHAEL RICH ($200 GIFT CERTIFICATE FROM LOWE'S HARDWARE) In case you're keeping track, the prizes won by Manatees fans tonight totalled $726 plus a lifetime season ticket which is valued at $280 times the number of years Ed Drosten plans on living. Let's factor 30 years just for humor sake. That would be $8400 for Ed.

Not a bad night for Manatees fans...not bad at all. Congratulations to the eight winners tonight. It pays to stick around until the end of the game because you never know how many people are still going to be here. We literally pulled 25 names tonight of people that had left and I'm sure the final three names on our winners list thank you for leaving early because you opened the door for their chance to cash in.

The 'Tees are on the road until next Tuesday. We'll see you then.
