Team Flight Brothers And Band D: Drive To Perform At 2008 PBL Championship Halftime Show

(Rochester, NY)... The award-winning dunk artists, "Team Flight Brothers (TFB)," will be performing their high-flying dunks at the halftime show of the 2008 Premier Basketball League Championship game between the Rochester RazorSharks and Arkansas Impact. TFB members performing include Kareem "Air Bama" Ward, who has a 46" vertical leap, Brandon "Werm" LaCue was an ESPN City Slam Finalist, and the 5'9" Terrell "TDub" aka "5'9" Guy" Cournoyea is considered by many to be the best dunker in the world. TFB has performed at 14 Division 1 Half-time tour games, appeared on CBS Road to the Final Four commercial, and performed motion-capture dunks for the video game NBA 2K9.

Also performing at halftime will be the band, D: Drive, which features two local musicians, Don Mancuso (guitar) and Phil Naro (vocals). Playing along side will be band mates, Bobby Bond (drums) and John Taylor (bass guitar), as they performing songs off their album, "D: Drive" and their latest album, "Straight Up The Middle."

Before the start of the game, there will be a moment of silence for local teacher and coaching legend at Jefferson High School, the late Jim DeBell. Mr. DeBell also worked on the RazorSharks' scorer's table from 2005-2007. Mr. DeBell was a graduate of Franklin High School and Brockport State and served two years for the U.S. Army Military Intelligence before teaching in the Rochester City School District in 1954. In nine years coaching baseball, soccer, and basketball, he led Jefferson High to six city championships and three Section V titles. Mr. DeBell was the Jefferson athletic director for 20 years (‘68-‘88) and taught the BOCES certification course for 41 years.
