Halifax Hurricanes News Release
Halifax, N.S. - The Halifax Hurricanes are bringing back a familiar face with the signing of Ta'Quan Zimmerman for the 2019/20 NBL Canada season. Zimmerman played two seasons with the Hurricanes with the last one being in 2017/18.
During his last season in Halifax, Zimmerman played 54 games averaging 26 minutes a game and shooting 40.5% from the field. Last year, he had a short stint with the Cape Breton Highlanders.
"Ta'Quan has demonstrated he is one of the best outside shooters in the league while playing for the Hurricanes. He shot 38% and 40% from the 3 point line in two seasons with us, making some clutch shots to win games while garnering the NBLC Sixth man of the Year award in 2018," says Head Coach Mike Leslie.
The Halifax Hurricanes will be entering their fifth season as a member of the NBL Canada. Season Memberships for the upcoming 2019-20 regular season are on sale now.
