
Tampa Bay Lightning Recall Kristers Gudlevskis, Reassign Andrei Vasilevskiy to Syracuse Crunch

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled goaltender Kristers Gudlevskis from the Syracuse Crunch, Lightning vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced today. Additionally, the club announced that goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy has been reassigned to Syracuse.
Gudlevskis, 23, has appeared in 28 games with the Crunch this season, posting a record of 9-9-6 to go along with a 2.96 goals-against average and .902 save percentage. The 6-foot-3, 218-pound goaltender has played in one game with the Lightning this season, a 1-0 overtime loss against the Chicago Blackhawks on October 24. Gudlevskis made 31 saves on 32 shots in the loss to Chicago. He's appeared in two career NHL regular season games, registering a record of 1-0-1 to go along with a 1.50 goals-against average and .957 save percentage.
Gudlevskis was originally selected by the Lightning in the fifth round, 124th overall, at the 2013 NHL Draft.
Vasilevskiy, 21, has played in 17 games with the Lightning this season, notching a record of 10-5-0 to go along with a 2.75 goals-against average and .910 save percentage. He has won three of his past four starts, including a 2-1 victory over the Arizona Coyotes on Tuesday night at Amalie Arena. The 6-foot-3, 212-pound goaltender has also appeared in 11 AHL games with the Crunch this season, earning a record of 6-4-1 to go along with a 1.94 goals-against average and .935 save percentage.
Vasilevskiy was originally selected by the Lightning in the first round, 19th overall, at the 2012 NHL Draft.
