Talons Gain Offensive Combo

TULSA - The Tulsa Talons of the arenafootball2 (af2) has officially been assigned Bentley College QB, Marc Eddy and OS, Dallas Mall.

QB Marc Eddy (6'3, 230 lbs, Rookie) joins the Talons as the first non-Division I recipient of the Agganis/Zinman Award since Tim Whelan of Tufts University in 1976. The lefthander had a lifetime record of 36-7 as Bentley's starting QB, fifth best in Division II history. Eddy was the MVP of the Northeast-10 Conference in 2003 and 2004 and highlighted as an All-American by d2football.com. Eddy holds five NCAA Division II records. (Most career TD passes (121), most consecutive games with a TD pass (28), most games with 3+ touchdowns (26), shares the Division II record for most career 300-yard games (16) and most career games with a scoring pass (41)). Eddy's 121 career TD passes ranks fifth in college football history. He also broke the New England record for career passing yards by over 400. In 2004, Eddy was third in Division II in touchdown passes, ninth in total offense and 15th in passing efficiency. This 11-time Northeast-10 Offensive Player of the Week is going to help provide the Talons another outstanding season.

OS Dallas Mall (6'3, 203 lbs, Rookie) joins the Talons after a successful college career at Bentley College. In 2004, Mall broke the NCAA Division II record for most career games with a touchdown catch. Mall is a recipient of the Boston Globe Gold Helmet award as the top Division II-III player in New England. With catching 78 touchdown passes during his career, Mall lead the NCAA in college football history. The four-time first-team All-Conference finished his career with 283 receptions for 4,347 yards and 478 points. The nation's sports information directors named Mall to Daktronics Division II All-American team.

Marc Eddy to Dallas Mall was one of the nation's top passing combinations. As roommates attending Bentley College, Eddy and Mall played football at Algonquin Regional High School.
