Chicago Slaughter News Release

HOFFMAN ESTATES- On May 14th, the Chicago Slaughter will be hosting a Military Appreciation Night where active and retired members of the armed service can attend the home game at the Sears Centre for no charge. This special event is in honor of Military Appreciation Month and a way for the Chicago Slaughter to show their thanks in everything the military does for our country.

Along with the honorary military members, the Chicago Slaughter is having an extraordinary booth set up at the game. This booth is called "Talk to the Troops" and is presented by Steve Tomaszewski of the Soldiers Family TV & Radio. It is designed to get in touch with people currently in the military, either stationed inside or outside the country.

Steve Tomaszewski created this idea when he was having trouble reaching his three sons in the military. The idea is for family members or friends of someone in the military can record a message they would like to send out to them and have it broadcasted through an internet radio on a show called "The Soldiers Family".

This has inspired many people to come out and give their message to someone they miss and may have a hard time getting in contact with. Each message that is broadcasted is also archived to military members can find it online or have it e-mailed to them in case they can't hear it live.

The "Talk to the Troops" booth will be located on the concourse at the Sears Centre Arena this Saturday and provides a great opportunity for fans to talk to troops that are deployed and show their support, while also giving the chance for people to get in contact with their loved ones.

Come cheer on your Chicago Slaughter and come out to show your military appreciation this Saturday night! That's this May 14th when the Chicago Slaughter take on the Bloomington Extreme with kickoff at 7:05 p.m. Call 847-310-3190 to reserve your seats in the action!
