Katy, Texas - June 7, 2006 - Join the Katy Copperheads at their next tailgating event on June 9th, 2006 at 4 p.m. prior to the Katy-Monroe game at the Merrill Center.
Copperheadfans.com, the official fan partner of Katy Copperheads Football, has announced that fans interested in attending this pregame event are encouraged to contact J. Ronald Oswalt at (832) 754-7666 or at http://www.copperheadfans.com/.
This event has been graciously sponsored by the Katy Chamber of Commerce and Absolutely Magazines. We have already had several tailgating events in 2006 and we want to continuing to show them that Copperhead Spirit. Along with ESPN being present there will be free game ticket giveaways, discounted Copperhead merchandise and even a Space Jump for the kids.
The Copperheads are currently leading the Pacific Conference South Division with an 8-3 record two games ahead of the Beaumont Drillers. The Katy Copperheads will play a 14 game schedule in 2006 consisting of seven home and seven away games. The remaining home games will be played in the Leonard E. Merrell Center on the following dates:
- Friday, June 9th, 2006 (Monroe)
- Saturday, June 24th, 2006 (West Palm Beach)
- Monday, July 10th, 2006 (Home Playoff Game)
